The Submersibles is here to help you take that first giant stride into the undersea realm to discover the wonders lying beneath the waves! The PADI Open Water course is the world's preeminent diver certification course. During the course you'll learn techniques that will enable you to be able to dive with a buddy on your own, independent of a professional. You'll learn buoyancy control techniques, basic (and rarely needed) emergency procedures and general diving skills that will enable you to become a qualified, skilled and competent diver.

Course Outline


Prerequisites:
  • Minimum age: 10
  • In generally good physical and mental health
  • Able to have lots and lots of fun

Course components:
  • Five knowledge development segments
  • Five confined water (pool) sessions
  • Four open water dives
  • Four quizzes and a final exam
  • Waterskills assessments - 200m swim/300m snorkel and a ten minute swim/float
  • Skin diving skills
